Today’s post is about art deco dresses (though not art deco wedding dresses: they get a separate category). These are just some gorgeous vintage looks I’ve come across that I feel like would be totally perfect for a 20s themed engagement party or art deco engagement shoot. And not just dresses, but a skirt and top too!
I’ve had my eyes peeled for art deco inspiration ever since I started this blog, and when I saw these guys I had to bookmark them. I keep wishing I had an awesome Great Gatsby themed event to wear all of these too. I’d do multiple costume changes. Though, to be honest.. who needs a themed event?! These are pretties I would pretty much wear anywhere, anytime I got the chance. Starting with this 20s style Marchesa gown. I would wear this to McDonalds if someone would buy it for me. I would wear it to the movies. I would wear it to the drugstore. I would wear it anywhere and everywhere. Crystal and beading and oh-my-goodness take a look:

Marchesa Crystal and bead-embellished silk-chiffon gown (now ON SALE at The Outnet for 70% off, so… jump on that, if you’re in the market for awesome.)
Also via The Outnet….

These next tops come to us via Miss Selfridge, and they are just lovely. On this first one, I was just so struck by the color and that pearl beading… it’s gorgeous!

And this is another gorgeous look: a sheer art deco blouse, also from Miss Selfridge:

And finally, if you’re in the mood for true vintage and not just retro inspiration, check out this beauty from Palm Beach Vintage. Pretty as a picture, with roaring twenties peacock colors and intact sequins, this is a gem of a find (and they’ve got a lot of interesting sequin-trivia as well!).

I couldn’t resist a re-blog of my own Art Deco wedding! I love your choices!!!
